Acquablitz® is a special wax at high technology. Its exclusive formula permits to remarkably reduce the viscous component of the total drag resistance opposed to a boat moving in the water. Experimental data show that the viscous component measured at the speeds currently developed by leisure and sport boats accounts for about the 50 % of the total drag resistance. The reduction of the drag resistance presents , remaining all the other conditions at the same level, one or more of the following advantages :     speed encrease of the boat; reduction of the absorbed energy at the same level of performances ( aeolian energy in sailing; mechanical energy in motor boating; biomecanical energy in rowing ); faster acceleration and minor time to plane for motor boats ; faster acceleration and minor time to achieve the target speed for sail boats; better control in every condition. Acquablitz® is a self cleaning product. It mantains its performances unchanged for a time varying from 1 hour (at 70 knots) to 40 hours (8 to 12 knots),depending on the speed rate. When the time of efficacy of the product is expired,the hull is getting cleaned and in case an antifouling paint has been previously applied it goes again in contact with the water in order to continue its antifouling action.
